The ‘Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry’ programme is approved by the Dean of Postgraduate Dental Education for London. This programme meets all four requirements needed by the General Dental Council for verifiable CPD (see below).

The Royal College of Physicians no longer has a system for approving long CPD courses (such as certificate or diploma programmes) but the Hypnosis Unit UK’s Hypnosis Applied to Medicine programme can form part of the CPD required by the RCP. Medics can claim a maximum of 50 external credits and record their training in the “MSc's and equivalent” section of their CPD diaries.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists no longer have a system for approving CPD courses.  However, the Hypnosis Unit UK’s ‘Clinical Hypnosis’ programme can be submitted to the Royal College of Psychiatrists for peer approval (6 CPD points per day).

The British Psychological Society no longer has a system for approving CPD courses but the Hypnosis Unit UK’s Clinical Hypnosis programme can contribute to your professional development.

 

The Hypnosis unit UK courses are taught within the ethical guidelines of the International Society of Hypnosis. 

Students accepted on these courses undertake to abide by these guidelines in their application of hypnosis.

 

Attendance certificates will be given to students at each teaching block to facilitate CPD record keeping*

 

*Please note that  HUUK courses fulfil the following CPD specified by professional bodies’.
1. They have concise educational aims and objectives
2. They have clear anticipated outcomes
3. They have quality control (i.e. students are given the opportunity to evaluate the delivery and content of each module).
4. Students are given proof of attendance / participation (a course certificate stating hours attended). Students also receive feedback on written assignments and clinical competence; and receive proof of attendance of supervision hours completed.

 

HUUK courses are taught in Association with the UCL Department of Psychology and for Dentists also in Association with the UCL Eastman Dental Institute

All qualifications are awarded solely and exclusively by HUUK
